Build a strong foundation for success

These small group, cohort-based classes are designed to give students a strong foundation on which to prepare for their ACT success. Students follow a structured curriculum that provides them with instruction appropriate to their level of achievement and plenty of practice to develop strong test taking skills. At home, students complete rigorous homework to complement the skills and strategies learned in class. They are prepared to recognize test patterns, internalize the knowledge they’re being tested on, and cultivate a positive mindset conducive to success on standardized tests.

BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED GROUPS

The beginner class is intended for students who have never prepared for or taken a real ACT or students who scored in the high teens or low 20s on a real ACT. It introduces them to the essentials of the ACT, the basic knowledge they need to know for each section, test taking and timing strategies, and test day protocols. After taking this class, students’ ACT scores are expected to be in the mid-to-high 20s or above. Each cohort may elect to continue together into an Intermediate group which will build on the foundations of the beginner class and prepare for its 2nd ACT. Beyond that, the cohort can continue into the Advanced group, designed to take students well into the 30s. Each group serves as a prerequisite for the next one (although exceptions can be made depending on the circumstances).

Meeting details

Each class runs for six weeks prior to every ACT. Classes meet in person in Riverwoods for 90 minute sessions. Each class is capped at ten students and if registration goes above 10, every effort will be made to split the groups and accommodate participants’ schedules. The cost per class is $599.
